Ilagan, Isabela – September 5, 2025. Philippine Veterans Bank (PVB), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Isabela, formally opened the War of Our Fathers: A Brotherhood of Heroes Traveling Photo Exhibit at the Isabela Museum and Library. The event marked the 80th Anniversary of the End of World War II and served as a highlight in the province’s National Tourism Month celebration.

The exhibit was showcased in Isabela for the first time, featuring wartime photographs, personal accounts, and keepsakes that honor Filipino veterans and their sacrifices.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by PVB-VAO Program Director, Atty. Federico A. Manalo, with Guest of Honor Governor Rodolfo T. Albano III, represented by Hon. Abegail V. Sable, Chair of the Committee on Tourism; representatives from the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office, led by Marilen A. Tolentino, Senior Veterans Assistance Officer, PVAO Field Service Office; Ms. Joanne D. Maranan of the Isabela Museum and Library; and officers of the Veterans Federation of the Philippines District and Post Presidents.

The War of Our Fathers exhibit shines a spotlight on Isabela’s wartime heritage, including the leadership of Lt. Col. Guillermo Nakar, the enduring witness of the Ilagan Japanese Tunnel, and the contributions of the USAFIP–NL guerrillas in Northern Luzon.

The exhibit will run until September 30, 2025, at the Isabela Museum and Library.
